With the acquisition of 3D New Technologies on April 1, 2022, Prima Additive has taken a further step in strengthening its expertise and resources by officially joining the SC-UP project. This ambitious regional program, created under the Regional Operational Program “Investments in Growth and Employment” and funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2014/2020, aims to support the consolidation and growth of innovative start-ups in Piedmont.

The SC-UP project seeks to strengthen innovative start-ups through targeted financial support, encouraging the development and consolidation programs (business plans) of young companies. Start-ups participating in the program can benefit from non-repayable grants in synergy with capital investments from qualified investors, with the goal of reaching a competitive scale and ensuring stable market presence.

The main objectives of the SC-UP project include:

  • Stimulating the growth of already launched innovative start-ups, helping them enter the market quickly.
  • Supporting critical development phases by providing adequate resources to enable significant expansion.
  • Increasing attractiveness to investors, facilitating access to capital across various growth stages.
  • Promoting corporate venture capital and open innovation, encouraging strategic partnerships between start-ups and established companies.
  • Reducing the size gap with Europe, supporting the growth of Piedmontese start-ups.
  • Integrating existing support schemes, ensuring continuity of support beyond initial stages.
  • Contributing to the regional S3 Strategy, encouraging innovation in key sectors.

Through its participation in the SC-UP project, Prima Additive will increase its international visibility and establish itself as a key player in additive manufacturing technologies. The funding received will enable Prima Additive to finance its participation in major industry events such as MECSPE, BIMU, and Formnext, strategic platforms to showcase innovations, forge partnerships, and strengthen its market position.

This support represents a crucial step not only for Prima Additive's growth but also for the reinforcement of the entire start-up ecosystem in Piedmont. The SC-UP project not only promotes start-up competitiveness but also contributes to creating a more favorable environment for innovation, encouraging local companies to focus on technology and sustainable growth to remain competitive on a global scale.
