Direct Energy Deposition technology
The Directed Energy Deposition process, also known as Laser Metal Deposition or Laser Cladding, uses focused thermal energy, generated by a fiber laser source, to melt metal powder sprinkled where the material is to be deposited.
In this way, the laser melts the powder, which is deposited on the component only where it is needed.
The laser is coaxial to the deposition head, which moves along 3 or 5 axes simultaneously. A rotary table can also be installed to keep the melt pool horizontal.
Build components from scratch in a workspace of up to 2032 x 1016 x 1829 mm
Extend the life cycle of your high value-added structural parts
High-speed coating and cladding to reduce wear on brake discs and other critical components
