The University of Turin, Polytechnic University of Turin and 24 companies just signed the agreement for the creation of the Piedmontese Competence Center on Advanced Manufacturing, called Competence Industry Manufacturing 4.0 (CIM 4.0).
Financed by the Italian Ministry of economic development, the goal of this Competence Center will be the research on advanced manufacturing, in particular in the aerospace and automotive sectors.
Prima Additive will be one of the private companies supporting this project, confirming the great interest of our company in innovative research projects.
The Competence Center will provide companies with innovative guidelines for different manufacturing technologies and will be a point of reference in all areas linked to these technologies (such as Big Data, Internet of Things, robotics, photonics, cybersecurity, new materials, energy efficiency enhancement), including the organization of work and production.
In synergy with the broader European initiative of EIT Manufacturing, the Center aims to bring the development of new products to a level of technological maturity next to the market, to encourage the transition to new production paradigms.
