On March 7th, 2023, following the successful public tender offer launched by Femto Technologies S.p.A, a company whose share capital is indirectly owned by Alpha Private Equity and Peninsula funds, the shares of Prima Industrie S.p.A. have been delisted from Euronext STAR Milan.
A new Board of Directors has been elected and a new Chief Executive Officer Giovanni Negri has been appointed. Gianfranco Carbonato, one of the co-founders of Prima Industrie S.p.A, has been appointed as Executive Chairman.
Giovanni Negri has been appointed CEO of the Prima Industrie group.
With a degree in Management Engineering and a Master in Business Administration from the Politecnico di Milano, since November 2018 Negri has been CEO of CMS SpA, company of SCM Group, a leading company specialized in the production of numerically controlled multi-axis machining centers. Previously he held, both in Germany and in Italy, several positions of increasing responsibility in SCM Group, Porsche Consulting and Siemens.
Gianfranco Carbonato has been appointed Executive Chairman of Prima Industrie group.
With a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, in 1977 Carbonato co-founds Prima Progetti S.p.A, subsequently Prima Industrie S.p.A, leading the company to a successful IPO in 1999 on Milan Stock Exchange. A long list of successful acquisitions, among which the Finnish company Finn Power Oy, has allowed the Prima Industrie Group to become a world leader in its sectors. Named Knight of Labour in 2007, Carbonato has held several institutional positions in industrial associations and leading banking institutions. He currently acts as member of the Executive Council of the Unione Industriali of Turin and of the General Council of the national Confindustria.
